Romania: Dacia is getting ready to produce Europe’s cheapest electric car

 

One month after Dacia announced it wants to produce electric cars, new information surface in this regard. According to SoyMotor.com, Dacia intends to produce the cheapest electric car in Europe, with a selling price below EUR 15,000, in three-year’s time, romaniajournal.ro reports.

The car reportedly would be built on the platform of Renault ZOE and will benefit from the technology developed by the French company, whereas its design will be inspired by Sandero Stepway.

As France expressed intention to ban the cars on gasoline or diesel as of 2040, the producer in Mioveni wants to continue to be present on the market, ziare.com also reports.
