E-Distributie Banat has put into operation this year investment projects amounting to approximately 20.7 million lei, aiming at modernizing the networks and the high voltage equipment in the area in which it operates, in order to improve the quality of the distribution service for fish 46,000 consumers.

Thus, in 2017, the distribution company carried out modernization works for two overhead power lines and a 110 / 20kV transformer station, as well as replacing the high voltage equipment within three transformer stations to improve network reliability and quality of the distribution service.

As part of this local investment program, E-Distributie Banat has invested about 7.5 million lei in the modernization of the 110/20 kV Teba transformation station. Modernization consisted of replacing 110kV primary equipment and related secondary equipment equipment with state-of-the-art equipment, providing superior technical performance and optimizing maintenance.

The company also carried out refurbishment works for the 110 kV Hasdat – Haţeg and Jimbolia – Carpiniş aerial overhead lines. Investments aimed at increasing food security for 36,100 consumers in both areas. These lines are of strategic importance for the national energy system, ensuring the evacuation of power from the hydroelectric power stations in the Haţeg area, as well as the cross-border connection with Serbia. The track of the lines is on a terrain that is difficult to access under unfavorable weather conditions, hampering the intervention of the teams on the ground.
