EU, Romania: Romanian car ratio for 1000 imhabitants, smallest in the EU

Romania has the fewest cars reported to 1,000 inhabitants from the member states of the  EU in 2015, under 300 cars, according to the most recent Eurostat report.

An average of 497 cars per 1,000 inhabitants was recorded in the EU in 2015.

Out of the member states of the EU, Luxembourg occupies the first position in the ranking with 661 cars/1,000 inhabitants, next  Malta (634), Italy (610) and Finland (590).

At the other end, Romania (261), Hungary (325) Latvia (345) and Croatia (358) close the report with the fewest cars per 1,000 inhabitants.
