Romania, France: Dacia increased sales on the French market, in October, by up to 12 percent

Dacia new car registrations had increased by almost 12 pc, in October, on the French new cars market.

The number of Dacia car registrations in France recorded an annual growth rate of 11.6 percent, up to 8,487 units, the French Carmakers Committee (CCFA) shows, quoted by Romanian media.

At the same time, in the first ten months of this year, Dacia new car registrations on the French market saw an increase of 5.4 percent, to 97,739 units, compared with January – October 2016. Among French manufacturers, PSA Group is on top of local production, also recording a significant increase.

Sandero, the best-selling model of the Romanian brand Dacia, surpassed one of the most popular European cars, the Volkswagen Polo, and was ranked 5th in the Europeans’ preferences in August this year, reports local media, regarding the European market.

Renault Clio ranked second based on the number of units sold in August, the figure being almost 32% higher year-on-year.
