Romania: Imports of about 5.6 million hectolitres of crude oil in the first nine months of 2017

Romania imported in the first nine months of this year an oil quantity of 5.58 million tonnes of oil equivalent (tep), with 57.700 toe (1%) less than that imported in the same period in 2016, according to centralized data by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Oil production totaled 2.57 million toe, being 4.5% (121.800 tep) lower than in the period January-September 2016.

According to the Energy Strategy project, published on the website of the Ministry of Energy, a half-life of domestic oil production is estimated at about 2 million tons in 2030.
