Romania: Mol names new CFO

Hungarian Zoltan Magyar (41) took over as CFO of Mol Romania, the local subsidiary of Hungarian oil group Mol, starting March 1. He replaced Romanian Cristian Ungureanu.

Prior to his appointment in Romania, Magyar ensured several key-positions within Mol Group, including the role of Country Chairman of Mol Kalegran Ltd., a subsidiary in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

His main background is industrial consulting but he has also gained retail experience as a Controller in Provera (Louis Delhaize Group) and commercial experience as the Pricing Manager of GE Lighting for the EMEA region.

Zoltán Magyar holds a DESS (Diploma of Superior Specialized Studies) in the field of “banking and financial techniques” from the University Pantheon-Assas in Paris and a Master in Economics from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences. He is fluent in French and English, but he also communicates in German, Spanish and Arabic.

Mol Romania is one of the biggest companies in the country. It operates a network of over 200 fuel stations in Romania and had a turnover of over EUR 1 billion in 2015.
