- In the first quarter 2018, primary energy resources increased by 4%, while those of electricity increased by 0.5% as compared to the same period of previous year.
The main primary energy resources in Q1 2018 amounted to 8932.2 thousand tonnes oil equivalent1(toe), increasing with 455.3 thousand toe as against Q1 2017.
Domestic production amounted to 5403.2 thousand toe, decreasing with 31.7 thousand toe as against the same period of previous year, while imports amounted to 3529.0 thousand toe.
During this period, electric energy resources amounted to 18559.1 million kWh, increasing with 94.4 million kWh as compared to the corresponding period of 2017.
The thermal power stations production amounted to 8241.4 million kWh, decreasing with 84.9 million kWh (-1.0%). The hydroelectric power stations production was 4440.2 million kWh increasing with 668.0 million kWh (+17.7%), while the one of nuclear power stations was 2950.6 million kWh decreasing with 53.0 million kWh (-1.8%).
The production of wind power stations in Q1 2018 was 2047.4 million kWh, decreasing with 233.1 million kWh, while photovoltaic solar energy produced during this period was 249.0 million kWh, decreasing with 84.1 million kWh as compared to the corresponding period of 2017.
The final consumption of electric energy in Q1 2018 was 14678.1 million kWh, by 2.7% higher as against the corresponding period of 2017; public lighting decreased by 7.0%, while population consumption decreased by 9.2%.
The exports of electric energy amounted to 1831.2 million kWh decreasing with 345.3 million kWh.
The own technological consumption in networks and stations amounted to 2049.8 million kWh increasing with 56.7 million kWh.
